About Builders Arms Hotel
The Builders Arms Hotel is a historic pub on Gertrude Street Fitzroy, and the public bar has been whetting the whistle of locals since 1853.
Housing a public bar, restaurant, private dining spaces and a courtyard, the Builders Arms Hotel is a regular meeting place for drinks, and meals to be shared.
The Public Bar offers around ten rotating draught beers, and a comprehensive wine list of vintages from near and far. Bar snacks and counter meals are available all day, for those wishing to settle in for a while.
Ricky & Pinky is our restaurant within the Builders Arms Hotel. Serving Hong Kong-style Chinese food, the bright and lively space has been welcoming diners since August 2016.
Ricky & Pinky follows an old Australian tradition of the 1960s and 1970s, when Chinese restaurants were common in public houses. Weve brought history back, in a very different way.
This iconic public house has seen many incarnations over the years it has been a live music venue, a guesthouse and even a bordello.
